One thing that was not mentioned on the Podcast in response to InetBogey. It is always advisable for any system administrator to interact with peers.(Have friends with similiar interests) Keith, Steve and I became friends not because we agree on everything. But rather because we agree to have conversations where we might have conflicting views or different levels of knowledge. Every time we host a Podcast there is always learning going on among ourselves before, during, and after the podcast.
Find friends, join groups like Steve has. Interact with other like Keith.
Learning can only be done if we question that which we assume to be true and proceed to test that truth.

I noticed Rich’s Website Pick so I couldn’t help but comment on the free help desk solution that we use and adore. Hope this helps

My work has been using Sysaid for about 2 years now. The free product is fantastic however do to our size we had enough reason to use their paid service.
