Hey guys a few comments on this weeks show in no particular order.

First Keith’s BackupExec problem. I ditched any form of tape drive about two years ago. I implement a homemade solution with hard drive backups. It would remind you of the old High Rely drive backups but at much less the cost. I have really never had a problem backing up internally or externally. I have used a variety of hot swap SATA cards for mine. With compression on (Hardware otherwise software) I get maybe a 5-10% compression rate. I find it strange that yours backs up so much. What kind of backup strategy are you using? Differential? Incremental?

Also, the WatchGuard problem. I would agree that the problem is strange. Other then different modem types and line types (business vs residential), I can’t really offer any help on that. However when you were talking about the activation, I do remember old SonicWall routers that HAD to be activated before ANYTHING could be done to them. Those were a pain.

Finally, with my new job, my travel time increased substantially. Would you guys mind sharing some of the podcasts you listen to? I heard Keith mention about Network World 360. Could you give others?

Thank and great show! I will have to try to catch the uStream broadcast next week. What time did you say you guys do the show?

Thanks for the comments Brian. Both Keith and I posted our list of podcasts.. I should post links in the sidebars..

I’ll go through and see if there have been any changes, but I think those are pretty current.

And we have been streaming live on Ustream at 8:00 PM (actual show content usually starts around 8:30). This show started late due to technical difficulties on both Keith’s and my sides.
