Sorry it took so long to edit and post. I took a couple vacation days and didn’t get to do the final steps.
Just Rich and I this episode…..unless you count ‘Virtual Ted’. Rich and I cover the usual gamut of news topics; Novell/SCO Unix lawsuit, Google’s 700Mhz Spectrum bid, and a NJ beach town’s plans to be the next technological marvel. Rich uncovers follow-up information about the health-risks of laser printers. We discuss what Apple can do to help with lost/stolen iPods and how to audit USB device usage on your network. We end with our website picks and as usual, we hope you enjoy.

Rich and I welcome new participant Ted Miller to the show. We discuss the history of the computer virus, hardware vendor network management offerings, an Active Directory utility and a handy little wiki. As usual, we end with our website picks and we hope you enjoy.
NOTE: Apologies for the low background noise. We tested the new equipment extensively, but never had this problem in previous test recordings. Rich was also battling a poor hotel Internet connection, so Skype kept throwing us some curves.

60 Minutes reports on One Laptop Per Child Project
OLPC May 22nd, 2007
I am interested in what people think about not only this report but the whole project. I have come to question not the founding princable that started this project, but rather where it will really endup. For instance will it become commercial. I think if I could sell millions of an item I produce, say chips, I could do that at or near cost just to increase my market share.
For every good result you can list, can you also see a negative result. Will the final good out weigh the bad?
